Ellen Hill is an award-winning writer and journalist with more than 20 years industry experience.

After starting her career with the Bennelong Program at the world-renowned tourist and cultural landmark Sydney Opera House in 1992, Ellen began her media career at the iconic Reader’s Digest magazine (Australia-New Zealand edition), she worked on various suburban and metropolitan newspapers before establishing Deep Hill Media with partner and photographer David Hill.

They have since contributed to well-known travel magazines including Australian Traveller and Jetstar inflight magazine. Ellen also won the RovingEye travel writing competition in 2008.

Since January 2012, Ellen and David have focused on branding journalism, corporate storytelling and communications, most notably for Blue Mountains Attractions Group and Blue Mountains Lithgow & Oberon Tourism for which they delivered $13 million in media exposure for the region during the 2013-2014 financial year.

Other corporate clients have included local government, small business, large corporations and public figures.

Ellen projects clients’ corporate “voice’’ through vibrant written communications, accompanied by dynamic photography by David.
